Prayer Letters

JUNE:

A Summer of Transition

Welcome to the very FIRST prayer letter and update for ministry in Moscow, Russia! I am so excited to share this experience with you.

First, a student's story from Moscow:

[written by Lauren from the team last year]

Anton's fun and easy going personality can light up the room. When Zach and Anne, two of my teammates, met Anton the first day on campus, none of us had any idea what God had in store for this young man. He has come to our weekly English clubs, parties, and both retreats we held this semester. While sitting around a table in Ped's cafeteria one afternoon last month, after a year of many conversations about man's need for a Savior and a strong foundation in life, Anton prayed with three of the New Life male staff members and asked Jesus to forgive him of his sins and come and make His home in his heart! What an amazing day this was, especially for Zach who has been here for two years now and Anton is the first male he's seen trust in Christ. Zach is meeting weekly with Anton and teaching him more about the Bible, as well as encouraging him to share his faith. Anton has already shared this good news with his sister Dasha. Please pray she receives it, too!

Anton & Dasha are pictured below, along with some of the STINT team.

Second, what's going on this summer?

A whole lot of transition... living for Jesus is quite the adventure!

I'm thankful for HIS stability in the midst of change.
  • I am currently working on developing a team of ministry partners and am believing God that He will meet all of the financial needs for my entire team by August 1st. Please join me in prayer that God would provide the resources we need to go to Moscow this year! Also, sometimes this can be a difficult process (learning to trust in God like never before, staying organized and motivated, and remaining positive and confident along the way), please pray for my team and me as we continue working diligently and faithfully!
  • On July 14th, I leave for Team Leader's training in Denver, Colorado. Please pray that God would use that time to prepare us for what is to come this year and unite my co-leader, Taylor, and I in making decisions and plans for the team.
  • Please pray for the student-led ministry in Moscow - "for peace and wisdom for our staff, that these days would lead to a spirit of brokenness and repentance among the students of Russia."
I would love to stay as connected with you as possible this upcoming year! Please feel free to contact me and share your own updates and prayer requests, too.
